Here below we list the traditional festivals which are held every year in Malaga, from the carnival over the feria to Easter week.

The year stars with the Christmas festivities, which are taking place during the first week in January and whcih reach their peak with the procession of the Three magic kings on the 5th of January.

Also carnival, is lived in a special way in Malaga. The carneval takes place either in February or March, depending on the Catholic Easter calendar. The Easter week is celebrated in March or in April.

In June the San Juan festival is taking place, usually on the 23rd or 24th of this month. Big fires on the beach are to send off all the bad spritits.

The Feria and Fiestas of Malaga are usually around the 19th of August, which is a big day for the capital of the Costa del sol. There are almost 24h of fiesta. The feria is located in the centre of the town.
